Pumpkin Choclate Chip Bars & Cream Cheese Frosting

Stir together in mixing bowl:
1 cup cooked, pureed pumpkin
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 egg

Sift together, then stir into pumpkin mixture until well blended:
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground sugar

Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips. Pour into greased jelly roll pan. Bake 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees, or until the center springs back when lightly touched. May also be baked as drop cookies on a greased cookie sheet.

Cream Cheese Frosting

2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Ina medium bowl, cream together the cream cheese and butter until creamy. Mix in the vanilla, then gradually stir in the confections' sugar. Store in refrigerator after use.
